Job Description

Feldspar & Flint LLC is a Recruiting & Staffing firm that specializes in operational strategy across core business functions.

Build and grow a commercial insurance book by developing new business, expanding existing client relationships, and advising organizations on insurance and risk management solutions. This is a production-focused role backed by a full-service agency offering Commercial Insurance, Personal Insurance, and Employee Benefits.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business development by building referral networks, prospecting within the market, and qualifying commercial insurance opportunities.

• Grow existing accounts through cross-selling and identification of additional insurance and risk management needs.
\n
• Build trusted relationships with business owners, client decision-makers, carrier partners, and internal service teams.
\n
• Conduct risk assessments, evaluate coverage needs, and recommend appropriate insurance and risk management solutions.
\n
• Develop new business and renewal strategies while coordinating documentation, submissions, proposals, and coverage placement.
\n
• Present and sell new business and renewal proposals directly to prospective and existing clients.
\n
• Advise clients throughout the relationship, including addressing coverage questions and helping resolve complex claims issues.
\n
• Maintain industry knowledge, licensing requirements, and a strong presence within relevant business, civic, and professional organizations.

Qualifications

\n
• Minimum 3 years of Employee Benefits insurance experience.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to develop new business and manage client relationships within the insurance industry.
\n
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
\n
• Ability to consult with business clients on insurance coverage, risk management, renewals, and related solutions.
\n
• Strong relationship-building, presentation, communication, and customer-service capabilities.
\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and ability to maintain required driving and insurance qualifications.
