Architectural Project Manager
Wolf Partners
Job Description
Job Description
About Us
Wolf Partners is a vertically-integrated full service real estate development firm specializing in urban and suburban infill development opportunities. We manage the entire process from land acquisition, planning, design, documentation, and all the way through the final construction. By incorporating and leveraging BIM technology from start to finish we are also able to implement model-driven, off-site fabrication technologies. This affords us the agency to deliver unique buildings of higher quality and better serve the communities they inhabit.
We believe architecture and construction are both art and science, poetry and pragmatics, space-making and community building—all while satisfying one of the most basic human needs: shelter. It is the practice of crafting human interaction through form and space, while consciously contributing to the built environment in a way that both the individual and community can be proud of.
In order to achieve this, we believe in designing buildings and dwellings that are site specific—in scale, materiality, and context—without stylistic or formal preconceptions. Buildings that are forward thinking technologically, but also informed by their place within a larger historical trajectory.
Your impact
Our process is a fundamental shift in the way buildings are delivered—one that relies heavily on the ability to translate design concepts and building systems from the digital realm to reality. The role of Architectural P roject Manager is a critical position at Wolf Partners, one which will be involved in not only the design and modeling phase, but communicating directly with our fabrication department to provide a positive feedback loop as we continually look to refine and innovate our process.
We are looking for highly self-motivated and energetic team members with the common goal of working on the cutting edge of technology in construction. Wolf Partners mission requires creative problem solvers who are never satisfied with the status quo.
Your Role
The Project Manager will coordinate and direct internal project teams and coordinate with external consultants and contractors on medium to large-scale projects. We are seeking individuals to represent Wolf Partners’ mission and business interests in all phases of our work, and to mentor our younger staff. If you have the desire and the skills, we have the place for you to settle and grow.
What You Will Lead
· Exhibits thorough understanding of complex building materials and systems, details and construction techniques, primary structural and MEP/FP systems and their operation, and secondary building systems, with specific knowledge of single family attached and multi-family mixed use building types.
· Exhibits thorough understanding of zoning, building code, and other regulatory requirements as they relate to the project and checks documents for compliance. Conducts conferences with regulatory officials and prepares strategies to address interpretative issues related to building regulations.
· Exhibits a thorough knowledge of the Owner/Architect agreement, project schedule, and project budget parameters and organizes work activities to be in conformance. Takes responsibility for rectifying variances from established project goals. With participation of a Principal, negotiates final Agreements with clients and consultants.
· Assists Project Architect in managing the financial performance of projects by proper allocation of resources, timely initiation and resolution of critical tasks, and effective decision-making.
· Supervises Wolf Partners staff during the construction phase of the project and attends progress review meetings.
· Researches and promotes opportunities for new or innovative system applications. Actively looks for and implements techniques to improve quality of work and efficiency, specifically as it relates to our steel fabrication process.
· Promotes a positive team environment with cooperative and interactive working methods and sets a high example of professionalism and leadership for junior staff.
Your Background
· 5 or 6-year accredited professional degree in architecture. License not required.
· 7+ years of experience on medium to large scale multifamily and mixed use projects. Additional experience on commercial projects, single family homes, hotels, and/or higher educational facilities a plus.
· In depth understanding of how to organize, develop, and produce a complete set of construction documents in Revit, and direct the production team accordingly.
· Expert proficiency with Revit is required, with a minimum of 5 years professional experience. Familiarity with graphic illustration software programs such as 3D Studio Max, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and In-Design preferred.
· Working knowledge of zoning ordinances and the process by which design solutions are quantified, illustrated, and explained to approval authorities.
· Ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals including clients, consultants, code officials, and construction trades.
· Working knowledge of AIA standard contracts and customary scope of services and standard of care provided by architectural firms.
· Displays technical knowledge of building systems, material assemblies, and engineering concepts.
· Proven leadership abilities and mature judgment.
Benefits

- Dental and vision coverage provided
- 2 weeks paid family and medical leave

- 401k retirement account
