Coordinator, Asset Management - Pottery Barn

About the Role
We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented Digital Asset Management Coordinator to help support Pottery Barn’s digital photography and DAM system. You’ll make sure assets are accurately tagged, easy to find, and available to the teams that need them. Working closely with the Senior Digital Asset Librarian, you’ll maintain metadata standards, support seasonal photography workflows and asset migrations, troubleshoot DAM issues, and provide DAM user support.

Key Responsibilities
DAM & Metadata
• Support the day-to-day DAM workflow, including asset synchronization, approvals, organization, and maintenance.
• Review and audit metadata to make sure assets are accurate, complete, and easy to find.
• Tag and validate product and asset information such as Brand, Season, Year, Asset Type, Product Name, Color, SKU,
Group ID, and Keywords.
• Research missing information and clean up metadata for legacy assets.
• Perform quality checks and keep production teams updated on progress.
• Test DAM search performance and document issues and results to help improve the system.
• Work with DAM teams across WSI brands to share best practices, troubleshoot common issues, and improve
workflows.

Production & Tagging Workflow
• Review and tag photography with accurate product and asset information, correcting naming or metadata issues
along the way.
• Move selected photography through the tagging and production process and keep teams updated on status.
• Research product information using internal systems, external resources, and input from Art Producers, Merchants, Creative Production teams, and the Color team.
• Track late-add photography and make sure teams have visibility to changes throughout the season.
• Help refine and improve tagging and metadata practices so assets remain organized and discoverable.

DAM Support & Training
• Help support DAM access requests and user permissions.
• Onboard and train new DAM users on search, navigation, filters, and everyday best practices.
• Help teams find current and legacy photography, including those tricky searches where there isn’t much information to start with.
• Answer DAM questions, troubleshoot issues, and escalate technical problems when needed.

Qualifications
• 2–4 years of experience with Digital Asset Management, digital production, creative operations, or related work.
• Strong attention to detail and a knack for keeping information organized.
• Good research and problem-solving skills—you enjoy tracking down an answer when the information isn’t obvious.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-moving creative environment.
• Strong understanding of metadata and taxonomy, and file management best practices.
• Experience in retail, e-commerce, photography, or creative production is a plus.

Tools & Systems
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM Assets) or other DAM platforms.
• Comfortable working in Excel with CSV files and larger datasets.
• Familiarity with Airtable, Kazing, ShotFlow, or similar production tools is helpful.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $70,000-$80,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
