Hydraulic Repair Technician - Trucks & Vocational Equipment

Are you a hands-on technician who enjoys diagnosing problems, working with hydraulic systems, and seeing the results of your work every day? We're looking for a Hydraulic Repair Technician to join our Fab Shop team. In this role, you'll troubleshoot, repair, and install hydraulic components on vocational trucks and equipment, including pumps, cylinders, hoses, fittings, and PTO systems.

This is a great opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual with experience in hydraulics, diesel equipment, heavy-duty trucks, or industrial maintenance who wants to build a long-term career with a growing company.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems on vocational trucks and equipment
• Remove and install hydraulic pumps, cylinders, hoses, fittings, and PTOs
• Perform basic welding (MIG) and electrical repairs as needed
• Troubleshoot system failures and determine the best repair solutions
• Maintain accurate repair documentation and labor records
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
• Work closely with team members to deliver quality repairs and exceptional customer service

What We're Looking For

• Experience with hydraulic systems, heavy-duty trucks, equipment repair, or related mechanical work
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Welding and basic electrical knowledge preferred
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and work in a shop environment
• CDL is a plus but not required

Essential Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems on vocational vehicles.

Determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems.

R&R hydraulic pumps, cylinders, and Hoses/Fittings

R&R PTO's (Power Take-Offs)

Utilize a pressure washer if the bottom of the truck/transmission needs to be cleaned off prior to repair

Welding (Mig)

Basic Electrical

Accurately record time, cause, and correction on Repair Orders.

Qualifications:

The position requires the ability to operate motor vehicles and a safe driving record. A current Commercial Driver's License is preferred but not required.

Sufficient manual dexterity to operate office equipment (or operate a PC), mechanical tools such as wrenches, sockets, grips, air tools, and other basic shop tools.

Ability to climb ladders

Ability requires a person to bend, twist, and squat in order to perform tasks on truck components.

Ability to lift a minimum of 60lbs unassisted.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, due to tools and engine noise.
