BEPC is hiring Precision Medical Assemblers to join our client's manufacturing team in Plymouth, Minnesota. This is a strong opportunity for candidates who enjoy hands-on, detail-oriented work and want to gain valuable experience in the medical device industry. You'll work with small components and precision assemblies , using microscopes and specialized manufacturing processes to help produce high-quality medical devices. Depending on your assigned production line, microscope work may make up approximately 50%–90% of your day . Previous medical device experience is preferred, but not required. Candidates with transferable experience in assembly, manufacturing, inspection, electronics, jewelry, sewing, crafts, small-parts production, or other precision-oriented work are encouraged to apply. Handle and assemble small components and parts with accuracy and care. Use a microscope for approximately 50%–90% of the workday , depending on production line assignment. Follow detailed work instructions, written procedures, and verbal directions. Maintain accurate production, traveler, and quality documentation. Ensure manufacturing records are complete to support product traceability and quality requirements. Enter and maintain information using electronic data collection systems and computer software. Inspect work for accuracy and identify potential quality or production concerns. Assist with basic troubleshooting of production issues. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on applicable tools and equipment. Follow all required safety procedures and properly use PPE and safety devices. Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives. Apply basic Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts. Communicate production concerns, ideas, and potential solutions to team members and manufacturing leadership. Collaborate with coworkers to achieve production, quality, and performance goals. Support applicable Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and regulatory requirements . Maintain a professional, quality-focused approach throughout the workday. Qualifications Required Qualifications Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive precision work . Ability to handle and maneuver very small components and parts. Ability and willingness to work with a microscope for 50%–90% of the shift . Ability to read, understand, and follow written manufacturing procedures. Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions. Comfortable using electronic data collection systems and basic computer software. Good hand-eye coordination and fine-motor skills. Ability to prioritize work according to production requirements. Ability to make appropriate decisions and judgments with minimal supervision. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Ability to work the required 5:00 AM–3:30 PM shift . Preferred Qualifications 6+ months of experience in medical device manufacturing or another regulated production environment. Previous manufacturing, production, inspection, or assembly experience. Medical device manufacturing experience. Previous microscope assembly or inspection experience. Experience working with small components or performing other precision handwork. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to work overtime on Fridays and Saturdays when required. Work Environment This is a hands-on manufacturing position requiring precision, patience, consistency, and sustained attention to detail . Depending on production line assignment, employees may spend a significant portion of the workday using a microscope while performing detailed assembly or inspection activities. Candidates should be comfortable working with small components and performing repetitive fine-motor tasks. Employees must follow established manufacturing cleanliness, safety, quality, dress, and PPE requirements. Clothing must be clean, professional, non-shedding, and compatible with required lab coats or gowns. Closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with socks or stockings are required. Manufacturing cleanliness requirements also include restrictions regarding makeup, nail polish, artificial nails, strong fragrances, loose or shedding clothing, and certain jewelry. All required gowning and PPE procedures must be followed.
