Description

• Create tailored treatment plans to meet immediate objectives and enhance long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing abilities.
• Implement individualized speech therapy interventions emphasizing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing mechanics.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop unified care strategies.
• Provide informative education to patients and families, ensuring progress continues beyond clinical sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing uninterrupted care throughout the healing process.
• Maintain comprehensive and timely records in compliance with state and federal regulations and organizational practices.
• Engage in ongoing education and peer collaboration to stay at the forefront of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hiring.
