About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; strong preference for candidates with Level 1 trauma experience. License: NM license can pend at the time of submission. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC prior to submission). Must-Have: Level 1 trauma experience preferred. Mandatory weekend shifts, including potential floating to Adult PCUs based on staffing needs. Description: Travelers should expect assignments to include primarily admitted patients. No holiday RTO for December starts; must work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day for holiday pay. Travel experience is strongly preferred; however, candidates with a minimum of 2 years of Level 1 experience may be considered. Approximately 60%-80% of the Emergency Department is dedicated to admitted patients, with many ED rooms functioning as ED Holding. Medication administration includes IV medication via the seven medication rights; documentation and communication of clinical findings are essential. Ratios in the Emergency Department are 1:5. Travelers will be scheduled for weekends as needed, with weekend days considered Saturday and Sunday, and weekend nights considered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Floating to Peds ED is optional; however, floating to Adult PCUs is an expectation based on staffing needs. COVID vaccine is optional, while flu vaccine is required with medical or religious exemptions only. Bar Code Medication scanning is an expectation for all employees. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience in trauma, resuscitation, and various patient care duties is required. Travelers must comply with facility needs and policies as outlined.
