Financial Institution Senior Consultant (SOX and FDICIA focus)

Job Description We are looking for a Financial Institution Senior Consultant (SOX and FDICIA focus) to join our Financial Institutions consulting practice in Irvine, California. This role focuses on regulatory compliance, risk management and audit support for banking clients. Responsibilities Work closely with client executives and management to identify and manage regulatory compliance risks. Assist clients in maintaining compliance with SOX and FDICIA and other financial institution regulations. Implement new or updated regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable compliance measures. Stay current on all relevant compliance regulations and assess impacts on audit programs. Provide subject‑matter expertise to the internal audit practice on regulatory and compliance topics. Advise clients on business strategy regarding new regulatory requirements. Manage client engagement teams, including staffing, billings/collections, and ensuring client profitability targets. Build relationships internally and externally with clients and the community. Participate in professional development and support team members' growth. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. 3+ years of hands‑on experience with SOX and FDICIA compliance in banking or financial services. Experience performing SOX and FDICIA internal control documentation, walkthroughs, testing and remediation. Desirable: CIA or CPA designation; willingness to obtain one. Experience in regulated banking environments, working with internal audit, external audit and regulatory examinations. Prior client‑serving consulting or advisory experience with banking clients. Strong analytical, technical, problem‑solving, communication, collaboration and time‑management skills. Sense of urgency and client responsiveness. Willingness to travel up to 10%. Compensation The compensation range for this role is $81,000 to $147,640, with the Irvine, California location range at $103,490 to $155,240.
