Details Outpatient Radiation Oncology unit at a teaching hospital Day shift, 5x8 hour schedule with variable start times (6:30am or 10:00am) Float position requiring flexibility to work across other UCSF facilities within a 75 mile radius Uses Epic for charting Requirements Active CA RN license required (license required if applicable) BSN required AHA BLS certification required Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required Outpatient oncology experience required Teaching hospital experience required and must be reflected in employment history Prior travel nursing experience required Epic charting experience required ACLS, APHON, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), CPHON, CPON, NIHSS, OCN, ONS/ONCC, and PALS certifications preferred Inpatient oncology, pediatric oncology, and radiation oncology experience preferred 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care within a radiation oncology setting, including symptom and pain management, chemotherapy monitoring, and oncologic emergency response Skilled in IV therapy, port access/management, and venipuncture Experience with radiation therapy modalities such as EBRT, IGRT, IMRT, and brachytherapy preferred Knowledge of radiation safety precautions preferred Responsible for wound care, patient assessment, and symptom management related to oncologic conditions May float to different departments, units, or facilities within a 75 mile radius based on qualifications Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed, including dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review All RTO must be disclosed and approved at time of offer; no RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, and no additional requests accepted mid-contract Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers Travel pairs allowed but generally not placed on the same unit; married couples may not work together American Traveler Job ID P-716505.
