Field Service Technician

Summary:

Location: Jackson, MS
Duration: 7 Months

Responsibilities:

Execute field service activities at customer sites in a safe and efficient manner.
Create and maintain a safe working environment and culture within the organization.
Take care of company property.
Troubleshoot systems for mechanical and electrical equipment conditions.
Identify and remedy safety issues with both company and customer-owned equipment.
Directly interface with customers, potentially at multiple sites with multiple technologies.
Ensure the readiness of power equipment and track/upkeep equipment inventory.
Perform hands-on exercising and turning of water valves and fire hydrants using hand and power tools.
Conduct general small engine maintenance.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to obtain a TWIC card.
Technical experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including smart devices.
Customer service experience.
Demonstrated critical thinking and troubleshooting ability.
Able to pass a credit check.
Able to obtain a CDL, class A or B with applicable endorsements.
Able to operate a company vehicle and meet driver requirements.
Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
Must be able to walk, write, and type frequently.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to climb and descend stairs, bend, carry, reach, push, and pull occasionally.
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
May work indoors and outdoors, with exposure to extreme temperatures and noise levels where hearing protection is required.
May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
Some travel to other locations, meetings, and/or seminars is required.
1-3 years of experience.
