Who you are: High school graduate Minimum of 2 years production kitchen experience, with 1-year minimum food preparation experience Ability to speak, read and write English Basic cooking skills and creative food presentation skills required Job Summary: The Line Cook will be responsible for the preliminary preparation of hot and cold food as assigned. The Line Cook works under the direction of the Executive Chef. The Line Cook follows production guides and fulfills production needs as assigned. Follows safe food handling practices and maintains all food storage and sanitation standards and is responsible for transportation of food as assigned. Reviews daily menu/work assignments with Entree cook at beginning of shift Prepares soups, salads, starches, vegetables, purees and desserts per production sheets Sets up and maintains all assigned food serving stations Organizes work load to ensure food is ready as scheduled Stores all foods properly, covered labeled and dated Monitors and reports any safety, sanitation, or food handling concerns to supervisor immediately Cleans and sanitizes all work areas and equipment throughout shift Follows and completes all duties on daily sanitation and cleaning schedules as assigned or required Complies with established uniform standards and practices good personal hygiene Performs any other relative, relevant duties as assigned When you enter a community managed by Life Care Services, you’ll immediately feel the warmth of our Hospitality Promises: We greet you warmly, by name and with a smile.
