Paralegal PositionAmTrust Financial Services, Inc., a fast-growing commercial insurance company, has an immediate need for an in-house Paralegal to work in our NJ Staff Counsel office.This position is hybrid 4 days a week in office out of our Princeton NJ office.ResponsibilitiesResearch and analyze law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decision and legal articles to prepare legal documents including; briefs, pleadings, motions and appealsCompile and prepare draft discovery responses.Draft complex motionsAssist in the preparation for trials, including trial notebooks, exhibits, subpoenas and witness coordinationCommunicate with clients, witnesses, adversaries, witnesses, court, and team membersInteract with people of all levels of the company as a member of the legal teamCapability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-oriented settingAbility to handle confidential information in a discreet mannerManage and prioritize completing deadlinesMaintain data integrity in computer platformSupport multiple attorneys in the defense of workers' compensation cases.QualificationsFormal paralegal certificate3 or more years of experience as a paralegalNJ Workers' Compensation experience preferred2 years demonstrated experience in defense litigationMust possess excellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteSuperior interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently and multi-task requiredDynamic deadline-oriented work environmentThis job description is designed to provide a general overview of the job and does not entail a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities that will be required in this position.
