About the Role:
Infinite Ranges is seeking a highly skilled Carbon Black Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in Carbon Black App Control and endpoint security platforms. This role will provide advisory, engineering, and technical enablement services focused on Carbon Black environment optimization, architecture guidance, health assessments, upgrade planning, and platform best practices.
The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with Carbon Black App Control, including platform upgrades, infrastructure design, configuration management, integration support, and operational health assessments. This engagement requires the ability to evaluate existing environments, provide strategic recommendations, and deliver expert technical guidance to improve security operations and endpoint protection capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical advisory and engineering expertise for Carbon Black App Control environments.

Assess existing Carbon Black deployments and recommend configuration improvements aligned with security and operational best practices.

Review and optimize Carbon Black architecture to improve visibility, detection capabilities, and endpoint protection effectiveness.

Conduct environment health checks to identify misconfigurations, inefficiencies, performance concerns, and coverage gaps.

Analyze Carbon Black alerts, logs, and monitoring data to identify trends and opportunities for operational improvement.

Support planning and execution activities associated with Carbon Black platform upgrades.

Provide guidance on infrastructure requirements, sizing, hardware specifications, and deployment considerations for Carbon Black App Control.

Assist with integration planning and validation between Carbon Black technologies and supported security tools.

Develop executive-level findings and recommendations summarizing observations, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define next steps and implementation recommendations.
Required Qualifications

Expert-level experience with VMware Carbon Black App Control.

Strong understanding of endpoint security, threat prevention, detection, and response methodologies.

Experience performing Carbon Black upgrades, migrations, and platform modernization initiatives.

Knowledge of Windows Server environments, including Windows Server 2022.

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and support, including SQL Server 2019.

Ability to evaluate infrastructure requirements and provide deployment recommendations for virtualized and physical environments.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical communication skills.

Experience delivering architecture reviews, health checks, and technical assessments.
Preferred Qualifications

Carbon Black certifications or equivalent practical expertise.

Experience integrating Carbon Black solutions with broader security ecosystems.

Consulting, architecture, or advisory services experience.

Experience producing executive summaries, technical findings, and strategic recommendations.
Deliverables

Technical advisory and engineering consulting services.

Assessment findings and recommendations.

Executive summary documenting observations, risks, recommendations, and potential future improvement opportunities.
