Saalex Corporation is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Human Resources Representative in Lexington Park, MD to support daily human resources operations while serving as a primary point of contact for employees, applicants, visitors, and vendors. This position combines human resources administration with front-office coordination and facilities support to help provide a professional, welcoming, and efficient workplace experience.

Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
Work Location: Fully onsite.

Essential Functions:

• Coordinate onboarding activities for new employees, including new-hire paperwork, orientation, and system access requests.
• Maintain personnel files, employee records, and HR documentation while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and appropriate handling of sensitive information.
• Support benefits administration, open enrollment activities, and related employee communications.
• Assist employees with questions regarding company policies, benefits, leave programs, and employment procedures.
• Process employee status changes, employment verifications, and other HR-related transactions.
• Support HR compliance activities and help ensure adherence to applicable federal, state, and company employment policies and procedures.
• Prepare and distribute employee communications concerning HR programs, policies, benefits, events, and organizational updates.
• Assist with training administration, performance review processes, employee development initiatives, and employee engagement activities.
• Generate HR reports and maintain tracking spreadsheets, databases, and employee information systems.
• Provide reception coverage and serve as a primary point of contact for employees, applicants, visitors, and vendors.
• Greet visitors, manage visitor access, answer and direct telephone calls, and respond to general front-office and HR communications.
• Support daily office operations, including conference room coordination, mail distribution, supply inventory, purchasing, and office equipment maintenance.
• Provide logistical support for meetings, training sessions, company events, and employee activities.
• Support facility-related activities by coordinating with building management, maintenance providers, and service vendors.
• Perform routine facility inspections and coordinate maintenance requests to help ensure the workplace remains safe, clean, functional, and professional.
• Maintain professionalism and discretion when handling confidential employee, HR, and company information.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail while balancing multiple HR, reception, office, and facility-related priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

Required:

• Two (2) or more years of experience in human resources, administration, office management, customer service, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionally handle sensitive information.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Desired:

• Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience supporting onboarding, benefits administration, or employee records management.
• Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), such as ADP Workforce Now.
• Experience in a government contracting, defense, or professional services environment.

Education/Years of Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in human resources, administration, customer service, office management, or a related field and HS Diploma/GED is required.
