Medical Insights Director

Amgen seeks a Medical Insights Director to lead strategic analytics and data-driven decision-making across therapeutic areas. The role involves managing US-based analysts, partnering with senior medical leadership, and delivering advanced analytics and AI-enabled solutions that inform field medical strategy and patient-focused initiatives.

Responsibilities

Serve as strategic analytics partner to Therapeutic Area Field Medical and Medical Strategy leaders on complex business and scientific questions
Lead development and deployment of analytics capabilities including advanced analytics, AI/ML applications, and insight frameworks
Own customer universe and omnichannel targeting framework aligned to strategic priorities and KPI impact
Manage US-based analyst team and coordinate with Amgen India delivery team on analytics projects
Design and facilitate insight-driven forums and Quarterly Medical Reviews that drive leadership decision-making

Requirements

Doctorate plus 4 years in data science, analytics, or related field, OR Master's plus 8 years, OR Bachelor's plus 10 years
Minimum 4 years direct people management or team leadership experience
Strategic consulting capability with senior medical and business leaders
Biotechnology or pharmaceutical analytics experience across therapeutic areas
Advanced analytical methods expertise including predictive modeling and scenario planning
Critical thinking and ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations
