Partnering closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and the executive team, this individual will focus on the translation of the long-term strategy into a clear, actionable, and measurable multi-year strategic roadmap. We are looking for an all-star contributor to the Corporate Strategy team with experience in cross-functional strategy formulation and strategic planning at large enterprises. You will work closely with key leaders across all functions within Equinix and support the executive team’s strategy agenda across short and long-term horizons. This will involve identifying and managing key trade-offs in how we define our most promising growth levers at an enterprise level, as well as evaluating the corresponding capital allocation decisioning across both organic and inorganic avenues. This role works at the core of Equinix as part of the Corporate Strategy team. This is a fast-paced, high-growth team tasked with leading change in the way Equinix maps its company strategy through a critical inflection point in our industry. We embrace diversity in thought and are committed to providing an equitable work environment.   Responsibilities Shaping enterprise strategy Connect the dots across long and short-term enterprise-wide strategies to drive coherent choices; requires an in-depth understanding of Equinix’s market position and growth levers across multiple time horizonsSupport the Corporate Strategy team and adjacent functions in designing and implementing improvements to the enterprise-level strategic planning process. Act as a key thought partner to the CSO and functional leaders, contributing insights on business, technology, and operational strategyWork collaboratively across functions and regions to prioritize and manage a portfolio of critical strategic initiatives on an on-going basisManaging strategic decisioning Serve as a strategic advisor to senior executives, providing thought leadership and constructive challenge to optimize business initiativesOversee financial and business performance analysis, ensuring data-driven decision-making and setting of clear KPIsWork closely with other central corporate functions to establish and manage efficient communications and discussions with the executive team on critical strategy topicsDefining the enterprise operating plan Collaborate with central functions to build, maintain, and leverage financial models to make key strategic decisions and integrate implications into long-term forecastsSynthesize long-term market forces and short-term strategic decisions to continuously evaluate growth driversMonitor execution performance against strategic decisions and assumptions to diagnose potential challenges and recommend course correctionsSupporting capital allocation and strategic ventures Partner with enterprise leadership to help guide Equinix's capital deployment in support of the enterprise operating plan of record; requires close coordination across strategy, finance, and investment stakeholdersSupport the development of pipeline strategy and capital allocation frameworks that inform where and how Equinix invests across its portfolioBring an enterprise strategy lens to key investment trade-offs, ensuring capital deployment decisions remain aligned with long-term growth priorities and return expectationsSupport the identification, evaluation, and development of strategic venture opportunities that extend Equinix's growth beyond organic levers, contributing to the strategic and financial thesis underpinning new venture opportunities in close partnership with Corporate Development and other functional leadersQualifications Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution7+ years’ professional experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or private equity. Technology industry experience preferred but not requiredExperience in driving work within an enterprise-level strategic planning processRepeated experience building complex financial models, forecasting corporate performance and decision implications across multi-year horizons at large enterprises (e.g., Fortune 500, Forbes Global 2000). Preference for experience with capex intensive industriesProven track-record in framing and leading project management of cross-functional strategy initiativesDemonstrated ability to assess strategic initiatives, challenge initiative owners constructively, and drive execution feasibilityStrong influencing skills, including building stakeholder relationships with senior leaders and demonstrated ability to shape strategic direction without direct authorityProven track record in providing novel and innovative solutions to complex or difficult strategic issuesAbility to independently draft and present client deliverables, recommendations, and communications strategiesDeep analytical, problem-solving, and data-centric decision-making capabilitiesSelf-motivated with a demonstrated ability to drive work through ambiguity in a dynamic, results-oriented environmentThe targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 186,000 - 280,000 USD / AnnualUnited States - Denver Office DEO : 155,000 - 233,000 USD / AnnualUnited States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 155,000 - 233,000 USD / AnnualUnited States - New York City Office NYO1 : 171,000 - 257,000 USD / AnnualCanada - Toronto Office TRO : 139,000 - 209,000 CAD / AnnualOur pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs.
