Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients in a fast-paced medical unit. Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms using telemetry monitoring equipment.
• Administer prescribed medications, including cardiac drips and other IV therapies.
• Respond promptly to abnormal cardiac events and escalate concerns according to protocols.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and responses accurately in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members for patient care plans.
• Maintain adherence to unit policies, safety standards, and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years recent medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Knowledge of cardiac telemetry monitoring and cardiac procedures.
• Ability to handle complex patient needs with a team-oriented approach.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
