How You'll Make An Impact In This Role

• Provides support treatment, care and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport.
• Arrives to the scene of an emergency, determines the situation, and develops a plan of action.
• Uses appropriate medical equipment and comprehends the severity of the injury.
• Monitors patient condition and performs data collection. Communicates findings and patient condition to primary Registered Nurse (RN).
• Assists with the mobilization, ambulation and transport of patients.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Basic Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Valid drivers license obtained by hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
