About the Role:
Desert Elite Electric & Construction, Inc is looking for a sharp and driven Electrical Estimator to join our growing team in Indio, CA. Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates for commercial, residential, and industrial projects
- Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and project scopes to develop detailed bid packages
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and material supplier quotes
- Coordinate with project managers and field superintendents to ensure estimate accuracy
- Track bid deadlines, manage multiple estimates simultaneously, and submit proposals on time
- Perform material takeoffs and labor hour calculations using estimating software
- Maintain and update cost databases, vendor relationships, and historical project data
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating for commercial, residential, or industrial projects
- Proficiency in electrical estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar)
- Strong understanding of NEC codes, electrical systems, and construction methods
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and construction documents
- Excellent analytical, math, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with vendors, clients, and internal teams
- Electrical license or field experience as an electrician is a plus
