Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Fellowship

Salary: $75,000 per year plus an annual signing bonus of $10,000 for qualified Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. Program Overview The Urgent Care Fellowship program is a minimum 9‑month specialty rotation that provides enhanced clinical experience in urgent care medicine. Fellows receive one‑on‑one preceptorship from the Urgent Care Clinical Faculty, hands‑on patient care, ongoing lectures, and a structured didactic curriculum. Responsibilities Collaborate with urgent care teams under the mentorship of experienced NP/PA providers to care for patients at WellNow sites. Examine, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages with acute illnesses and injuries, or exacerbations of chronic disease. Order evidence‑based testing, prescribe medications, and refer to outside specialists as required. Provide occupational medicine services, including DOT exams and treatment of workers’ compensation injuries. Perform pre‑participation physicals for camps, sports, and employment. Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient charts and document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Participate in continuous quality‑improvement initiatives. Minimum Education and Experience Successful completion of an accredited physician assistant (PA) or family nurse practitioner (FNP) program. Physician Assistants must have active board certification with the NCCPA. Family Nurse Practitioners must have active board certification with the AANP or ANCC. Licensure as a PA or FNPA in the state where applying. Demonstrated clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication, interpersonal effectiveness, customer‑relationship skills, computer proficiency, and an active desire to learn.
