Welder/Assembler Technician
Our client, an aerospace and defense manufacturer in Sterling Heights, is seeking a welder/assembler technician to join their team. As a welder/assembler technician, you will be part of the assembly team supporting production goals. The ideal candidate will have ability to work independently, a strong work ethic, and reliability which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Welder/Assembler Technician
Location: Sterling Heights, Michigan
Pay Range: $18/hr-$24/hr
Shift: 1st shift: 5am-3:30pm Monday-Friday 10 hour shifts 2nd shift: 2pm-12:30am Monday-Friday 10 hour shifts Saturday is mandatory overtime typically 6-8 hours
What's the Job?
- welding and soldering components together
- spot welding and quality testing checks to specs
- assemble components according to blueprints and specs
- store and pack goods and materials in the warehouse
What's Needed?
- proficient in using power tools & hand tools for fabrication (welders, grinders, steel cutters, etc...)
- knowledge of welding techniques and soldering skills
- familiarity with airless paint spraying and auto painting techniques
- ability to read blueprints
- capability of lifting 50 lbs unassisted
