Title
Licensed Practical Nurse - Correctional Health

Requirements
- Valid New York State LPN license or limited permit
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical-surgical, ambulatory care, or mental health settings
- Core clinical skills:
- Medication administration (including controlled substances)
- Vital signs, basic physical assessments, wound care/dressing changes
- IM & SQ injections, NG/G-tube care, feeding tube management
- Foley catheter care/insertions (male & female), oxygen administration
- Infection control/PPE, ambulation assistance, basic ADL support
- Communicating status changes to RN/MD and emergency response composure

Compliance / Notes
- Candidate must clear the state-run Criminal History Form before starting (clearance can take up to 4 weeks)
- COVID-19 vaccine is required (medical exemptions only)
- Valid NY state license required at time of submission - no exceptions
- Returning staff rule: must be off any facility in New York State for 2 years to return (per facility policy)
