Property Accountant

Location: Charlotte - 5 days in office with great flexibility Key Responsibilities: Review and analyze general ledger accounts; prepare accruals and adjusting journal entries as needed Record journal entries for revenue, cash activity, and monthly property transactions Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations, along with supporting schedules (e.g., intercompany, AR/AP, prepaid expenses, loans, accruals) Calculate cash available for distribution and monitor cash shortfalls Track and ensure timely payment of obligations (taxes, insurance, debt service, distributions) Support accounts payable processes, including invoice entry and payment preparation Compile monthly financial reporting packages Assist with audits, tax preparation, and other ad hoc reporting requests Contribute to special projects and process improvements to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency Qualifications: 2+ years of relevant accounting experience Proficiency in Yardi, and the Real Estate Industry is required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines #J-18808-Ljbffr Royal Search Group
