Job Description

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving fresh, high-quality meals in Client on-site employee café. This position requires experience in food preparation, commercial kitchen operations, food safety, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate is dependable, works efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and follows proper food handling and sanitation procedures.

Key Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve breakfast, lunch, and other menu items according to established recipes and portion standards.

• Operate commercial kitchen equipment, including grills, ovens, fryers, and food preparation tools.

• Perform daily food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, portioning meals, and stocking stations.

• Maintain proper food temperatures, storage procedures, and sanitation standards.

• Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination.

• Monitor food quality, freshness, presentation, and portion consistency.

• Assist with inventory management, receiving food deliveries, and rotating stock using FIFO procedures.

• Clean and sanitize cooking equipment, countertops, utensils, and kitchen workstations.

• Assist with meal service while providing friendly and professional customer service to employees.

• Follow kitchen safety procedures and maintain an organized, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook, food preparation, or commercial kitchen experience preferred.

• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.

• ServSafe certification preferred.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks during busy meal periods.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties.

• Strong attention to detail, dependability, and teamwork skills.
