Project Manager

The Project Manager will review the City’s vendor data in the City’s vendor data management system (SAP) and determine if it is duplicative and current based on criteria set forth. Reviewed, accurate records will be migrated over the City’s new vendor data management system (SAP Ariba). SAP experience is preferred. Will report to: JEDDIAGHA GREENFIELD, 611 Walker ST. 5th Floor, Houston, TX 77002 Monday–Friday 8 am–5 pm Pay rate $34.00 per hour. Complexity: Work is somewhat complex and varied, and may require the simple interpretation of technical and detailed guidelines, policies and procedures. Impact of actions: Errors in work could lead to significant expense and inconvenience. Work is typically performed under limited supervision with alternating periods of relative autonomy and general review. The supervisor generally plays a substantial role in setting objectives and organizing work. Supervision Exercised: Direct supervision involves general scheduling and review of work as a 'working supervisor' or lead person. Indirect supervision: no indirect reports. Contacts: Internal contacts: primarily with professionals and supervisors. External contacts: primarily with citizens, visitors and mid-level representatives of government agencies, guests, vendors and professional contacts with allied organizations. Knowledge: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Physical Sciences or a closely related field. Requires a valid Texas Class C driver's license and compliance with the City of Houston's policy on driving. Experience: Four years of experience in construction, construction inspection, design, geotechnical, environmental or a closely related field are required. Directly related professional experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis. Physical Effort: The position requires stooping, bending and/or lifting of items of up to 30 pounds with occasional periods of walking on rough surfaces. Work Environment: There are occasional discomforts from exposure to moderate heat, cold, moisture/wetness and unpleasant air conditions. The position may involve occasional exposure to soiled materials and light chemical substances such as cleaning solutions. Physical Skill: Requires the ability to make simple gross motor responses within large tolerances. #J-18808-Ljbffr
