Shipping Coordinator

Georgetown, TX | Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire | 1st Shift | $21.00-$22.00/hour DOE

AtWork Personnel is hiring a Shipping Coordinator for a growing manufacturer in Georgetown, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented professional with logistics and shipping experience who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This temp-to-hire position offers the opportunity to join a stable company with long-term career potential after approximately 90 days based on performance.

Core Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule LTL and FTL freight shipments for timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Process high-volume parcel shipments using FedEx, UPS, and other carrier platforms.
• Ensure all customer-specific shipping, routing, labeling, and packaging requirements are met.
• Generate packing lists, shipping labels, invoices, and shipping documentation through the ERP system.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and perform system transactions to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Prepare outbound orders and verify accuracy before shipment.
• Communicate with carriers, warehouse personnel, customer service, and internal departments to resolve shipping issues.
• Track shipments and assist with on-time delivery performance.
• Prepare operational reports, including shipping volume, delivery metrics, and freight costs.
• Identify opportunities to improve shipping processes and overall operational efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of shipping, logistics, or transportation experience.
• Experience coordinating LTL, FTL, and parcel shipments.
• Familiarity with FedEx, UPS, and freight carrier systems.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• SAP experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
• Regular lifting of up to 35 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and around material handling equipment.
