Privacy Counsel

Seeking an experienced Privacy Counsel, the full-time position will advise on privacy operational compliance best practices for advertising and media businesses while collaborating with product, engineering, and sales teams in a hybrid work environment. Key responsibilities Partner closely with product and engineering teams to embed privacy by design into new advertising products from ideation through launch Advise on privacy implications of advertising technologies and counsel product teams on U.S., Canadian, and global privacy laws Structure, draft, and negotiate privacy and data protection provisions in commercial agreements while ensuring compliance with evolving privacy standards Required qualifications Attorney with approximately 5-7 years of experience in privacy, advertising technology, or data governance Deep knowledge of U.S. state privacy laws and familiarity with Canadian privacy law and GDPR Experience negotiating data protection provisions and complex data sharing arrangements Understanding of modern advertising technology and AI-enabled products Strong judgment and ability to balance legal risk with product velocity and commercial objectives
