Laboratory Assistant

Description Represents the laboratory to the public, physicians, patients and offices while assisting laboratory technical staff, receiving/accessioning and/or processing specimens according to laboratory procedures. Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety; environmental and infectious control standards so that the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies. Diploma or GED Coursework/Training - Successful completion of a phlebotomy program through a post-secondary school, college or military program Upon Hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification -or- Washington Medical Assistant Certification Preferred Qualifications: Prior phlebotomy experience Why Join Providence Swedish? The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
