Slot TechnicianPosition Summary: Installs, tests, troubleshoots and repairs slot machines, currency validators, ticket printers and other gaming related devices.Job Title: Slot TechnicianDepartment: SlotsReports To: Supervisor Slot TechnicalFLSA Designation: Non-exemptLicense Type: GamingTarget Pay: $35.64 - $39.60Essential Job Functions:Installs slot machines and other gaming related devices in accordance with floor plansRepairs and maintains slot machines and other gaming related devicesRecommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenanceSets up test apparatus or test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of gaming devicesAdjusts, calibrates and aligns circuitry and components and records effects on unit performanceWrites technical reports and develops charts, graphs and schematics to describe and illustrate system's operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications and functional limitationsChecks functioning of installed equipment to evaluate system performanceComplies with all internal controls and procedures related to department operationsEnsures compliance with regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to state and federal laws and the New York State Gaming Commission regulationsAssists with the cleanliness of the casino floor and heart of housePerforms all other duties as assignedQualifications:Must be 21 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentThree or more years related experienceTechnical knowledge of electric slot machines and related equipmentFundamental oral and written communication skillsAbility to communicate with team member and guestsAvailable to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidaysAbility to obtain and maintain all necessary licensingWorking Conditions:Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use of hand to finger dexterity, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms; stand and/or walk for prolonged period of timeMust occasionally lift up to 25 poundsFrequently required to stoop, crouch or kneelAbility to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanorPossible exposure to high noise level for extended period of time
