On-Call Liberal Arts Clerk (Applicant Pool) Job Title On-Call Liberal Arts Clerk (Applicant Pool) Job Summary The On-Call Liberal Arts Clerk will support the Liberal Arts office staff by providing clerical assistance with oversight for assigned department activities. The individual in this role will offer office coverage as needed with primary responsibility to assist students and faculty. The hours for this position will be 25-29 per week; flexible schedule desired (some evenings and weekends may be required). Regular Liberal Arts office hours are Mon‑Thurs 12‑6pm and Fridays 12‑5pm. Required Qualifications Three (3) to Five (5) years office experience with high proficiency using standard office technology (i.e. phone systems, copiers/printers, computers). Strong verbal and written communication skills including accuracy in spelling, basic math, and grammar. Ability to work independently and with others. Experience working in a diverse, customer service oriented environment. Detail-oriented, conscientious and reliable. Preferred Qualifications Experience with complex databases and reporting software, budgets, purchasing, and invoices/reimbursements. Physical Requirements Writing Skills: Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Communication Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from prospective and current employees, and groups of managers. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Noise Level: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Salary $16/hour Work Hours 25-29 per week; flexible schedule. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
