Available Shifts: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
Salary range: $235,000+ (higher compensation based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced and qualified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join an established anesthesia team at a Level II Trauma Center in Lima, Ohio. This opportunity offers competitive compensation, flexible scheduling, strong clinical autonomy, and exposure to a broad range of surgical cases in a collaborative practice environment.

The existing team consists of seven CRNAs, with plans to add two additional providers. The practice follows an independent CRNA model, supported by an anesthesiologist-to-CRNA ratio of approximately 1:8–10.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia for a wide variety of surgical and procedural cases.
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia care plans.
• Monitor patients throughout anesthesia administration and provide post-anesthesia care.
• Manage anesthesia for general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, obstetrics, cardiac cases, and trauma procedures.
• Participate in regional and nerve block anesthesia services.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Participate in cardiac anesthesia call, if appropriately trained and qualified.
• Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base Salary: Starting at $235,000 annually, with higher compensation based on experience.
• Sign-On Bonus: $60,000 with a three-year commitment, or
• Student Loan Repayment: Up to $100,000 with a five-year commitment.
• Overtime Compensation: Premium overtime rate of $185 per hour.
• Paid Time Off: 280 hours annually.
• Scheduling Flexibility: Choice of 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts.

Practice Environment

• Independent CRNA practice model offering a high degree of clinical autonomy.
• Anesthesiologist-to-CRNA ratio of approximately 1:8–10.
• Established team of seven CRNAs, with two additional providers being recruited.
• Well-established regional anesthesia and nerve block program.
• Level II Trauma Center with a diverse and clinically challenging case mix.
• Exposure to a broad range of surgical specialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, obstetrics, cardiac surgery, and trauma.
• Bariatric and transplant cases are excluded.
• ENT cases generally involve healthy patients with lower medical complexity.

Call Responsibilities and Overtime Opportunities

• Cardiac-trained CRNAs may have the opportunity to participate in cardiac anesthesia call.
• Call includes 24-hour in-house coverage.
• All call hours count toward the 80-hour pay period.
• The call structure provides significant potential for additional earnings through overtime.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) credential.
• Eligibility for licensure in the state of Ohio.
• Strong clinical experience across a variety of anesthesia cases.
• Ability to provide safe, effective anesthesia care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cardiac anesthesia experience or specialized training for participation in cardiac call.
• Experience working in an independent CRNA practice model.
• Comfort managing trauma cases and a diverse surgical patient population.
• Experience with regional anesthesia and nerve block techniques.
