About the Role:

The Supply Room Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient management and organization of inventory within the supply room. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate records of stock levels, receiving and processing incoming supplies, and distributing materials to various departments as needed. The clerk will work closely with procurement and operations teams to support seamless supply chain activities and prevent shortages or overstock situations. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential to maintain the integrity of inventory data and support timely replenishment. Ultimately, this role contributes to the smooth functioning of daily operations by ensuring that all necessary supplies are readily available and properly accounted for.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer proficiency, including experience with inventory management systems or databases.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move supplies weighing up to 50 pounds safely.
• Effective communication skills to interact with team members and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or supply chain support.
• Familiarity with supply chain software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse or supply room settings.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Basic problem-solving skills to address supply discrepancies or delays.

Responsibilities:

Manage spare parts and raw materials inventory. Verify inventory levels by checking shelves, cycle count spare parts, notify manager as to replacement needs, ensure parts and bins are clearly labeled.Receive spare parts and financial receipts of services in SAP.Receive goods at front dock from UPS, FedEx, and other vendors as needed.Verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered. Resolve shipments in error with suppliers.Find and distribute spare parts for plant personnel.Maintain record of parts usage and analize data, reporting any variances or abnormalities to manager.Maintain MRP database.Prepare parts to be shipped via UPS, FedEX , send info to logistics.Clean supply room and receiving area. Sweep and empty trash can as needed, dispose of packaging from received parts.Maintain FIFO for spare parts within supply room and raw materials within receiving area.Operate forklift as needed.Work with multiple departments to resolve supply chain issues.Communicate effectively at all levels within the facility.Meet performance and departmental goals.Quality - Ensure quality by continually watching for any abnormality and reporting it timely.Safety - follow company procedures and use material and equipment per manufacturers' directions.Other duties as assigned.

Work area is a manufacturing environment which is not climate controlled year round with noise levels ranging from moderate to loud requiring hearing protection.
