Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg/Tele/OncologyWe are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our MedSurg/Telemetry/Oncology unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and be passionate about providing high-quality patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide care for a diverse patient population including those with acute and chronic medical conditions, post-surgical patients, and potential stroke patients.Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 for telemetry patients and 1:5 for MedSurg patients, adjusting to a 1:4 ratio in mixed teams.Read and interpret telemetry strips, with support from telemetry monitors.Engage in daily shift huddles for effective team communication.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with previous MedSurg/Telemetry or oncology experience preferred.Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.Cerner experience is preferred.Comfortable managing post-surgical patients, including total joint replacement and other surgical specialties.Unit InformationUnit type: TelemetryNumber of beds: 27 (13 private, 14 semi-private)Charge Nurse and House Supervisor available 24/7, with shift managers present during business hours.Patient care is supported by Certified Nursing Assistants based on census.Shift Details12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PMEvery other weekend commitment (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule)Holiday requirement: Minimum of one major and one minor holidayNo on-call requirement; standby status may apply in low census situationsDress CodeScrub color: Navy blue (undershirts must also be navy, white, or black; scrub jackets should be navy)No hoodies, sweatshirts, or sweat jackets permittedOrientationNew hires will receive a comprehensive orientation consisting of 1-2 shifts with an assigned preceptor to ensure familiarity with unit protocols and expectations.If you are an experienced Registered Nurse looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a supportive environment, we encourage you to apply.Client Details State CA
