Construction Assistant Project Manager

Fite Building Company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to help keep projects organized, on schedule, and moving efficiently. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced construction environment while representing Fite’s culture and core values both internally and externally. Key Responsibilities Project Coordination & Management Assist with management of construction projects from startup through closeout Review and understand project plans, specifications, and contract documents Support development and maintenance of project schedules and project controls Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, procurement, and material tracking Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation Support project budgeting, cost tracking, invoice review, and projections Help facilitate coordination meetings with project teams and trade partners Work alongside field leadership to resolve day-to-day project issues Track punch list completion and assist with project closeout documentation Communication & Team Support Maintain strong communication with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors Build positive working relationships while helping drive accountability and project performance Support collaboration between office and field operations Represent Fite professionally with clients, inspectors, and industry partners Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred Construction project management or internship experience preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to problem solve and manage competing priorities Familiarity with construction management software and Microsoft Office #J-18808-Ljbffr
