Application Specialist

Location: Round Rock, TX

TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company is seeking an Application Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll work directly with customers and our Field Sales team to provide technical solutions, prepare quotations, support order processing, and help deliver industry-leading electric motor solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical knowledge with customer interaction in a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Review customer specifications and recommend the appropriate motor solutions.
• Prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations.
• Support customers by answering technical questions and assisting with product selection.
• Partner with Field Sales Representatives to develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing customer relationships.
• Design induction motors using engineering design software and collaborate with Engineering on custom applications.
• Prepare technical documentation for customer orders and engineering review.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate pricing, delivery, and order execution.
• Assist in customer presentations and prepare complete technical proposals.
• Maintain quotation, pricing, and negotiation records.
• Provide technical support regarding the application, operation, and maintenance of TECO-Westinghouse products.
• Stay current on product knowledge and competitive market trends.
• Contribute to monthly sales reporting and continuous process improvements.
• Support company quality, safety, and ISO 9001 standards.

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and 2–4 years of experience in industrial products, manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude with the ability to understand technical specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn new products and technologies.
• Experience supporting industrial equipment, motors, drives, or rotating equipment is a plus.

• Experience in industrial manufacturing or electrical equipment.
• Customer-facing technical sales or applications engineering experience.
• Experience reviewing technical drawings and engineering documentation.

• Occasional overnight travel for customer visits and company events.
