Job Title

Under direction, perform food preparation, cooking and serving duties.

Representative duties include setting up serving areas, steam tables, and ice trays; setting out serving trays, food, and beverages; serving food to students and staff according to established procedures; assisting in assembling short-order foods; tossing salads; maintaining work areas and serving areas in a sanitary manner; washing and cleaning steam tables; cleaning and storing utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment; operating a variety of standard kitchen equipment such as utensils, can opener, oven, and cash register; and performing related duties as assigned.

Experience and education: any combination equivalent to sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed in the job description.
