Activities include conducting audits, providing training, monitoring compliance activities, and assisting with investigations to promote a culture of ethical conduct and mitigate compliance risks. bEssential Functions Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the hospital’s compliance program, including policies, procedures, and protocols. Conduct periodic audits of hospital departments and processes to assess compliance with policies and identify areas for improvement. Assist departments in understanding and implementing compliance policies, ensuring consistency and adherence throughout the organization. Support the reporting and investigation of compliance‑related incidents and potential violations. Assist in monitoring compliance activities, analyzing data, and preparing compliance reports for presentation to senior management and relevant committees. Participate in compliance committee meetings, providing updates on compliance activities and contributing to discussions on compliance matters. bQualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. This role does not accept experience in lieu of a degree. Experience: 2–3 years in compliance, legal, or a related field. Licenses and Credentials: Not specified. bKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations applicable to the industry or sector (e.g., financial, healthcare, technology). Familiarity with compliance frameworks and best practices. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively and independently as needed. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications. bAdditional Job Details Reporting to the Clinical Compliance Manager, CSPS, and receiving direction from the Director of Operational Alignment & High Reliability, the Compliance Specialist will independently acquire, analyze, interpret, and report data to support the CSPS Department and HLDS program. The role involves interaction with business leaders at all levels and managing resources associated with projects. Collaboration with the Sterile Processing Department and support for projects involving Procedural Services and MGB initiatives are expected. bHigh‑Level Disinfection & Sterilization Program Act as a critical participant in the evolution and continued development and implementation of HLDS. Participate in the hospital‑wide Interdisciplinary Tracer Program to learn, define, and evaluate reprocessing practices in all active reprocessing areas. Maintain documentation systems and assign department representatives for ongoing Tracer participation. Implement unified weekly and monthly reports describing program progress to leadership and governance committees. Attend the HLDS Task Force meetings and subcommittees, developing presentations, writing minutes, and coordinating follow‑up on action items. Adhere to project plans, charters, and clinical support resources to ensure objectives are met. Ensure assessments are cataloged for all active reprocessing locations. Develop and implement comprehensive unit‑specific remediation plans to reduce reprocessing variability and sustain best practices. Practice sound risk management throughout the project process. Gather and compile documentation of metrics and data sources for routine and ad‑hoc reporting. bSterile Processing & MGB/Procedural Service Committee Complete cross‑institutional project initiatives and inform leadership of best practices that may be adopted from other hospital departments or procedural areas. Support MGB and Procedural Services Committees in aligning departmental, hospital, and systems‑based sterile processing functions and workstreams. Lead implementation of the information system, SPDR, to manage, track, and bill for reprocessing activities performed by SPD on behalf of the PO. Provide training to other data analysts within the Sterile Processing team and develop familiarity with EPIC and SPM instrument tracking software to improve workflows and utilization of data visualization tools.
