Procurement Specialist

In order to continue the growth of our group, Katoen Natie Specialty Chemicals Inc. (USA) is looking for a Procurement Specialist in La Porte, TX. About the Role The Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Business Development and Operations team by managing administrative tasks, maintaining procurement databases, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. This role involves coordinating with vendors, sourcing, maintaining databases (articles, pricing and vendors), ensuring compliance with key performance indicators and assisting with spend analysis. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective procurement practices. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update vendor, pricing, and procurement databases Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and contracts Track and monitor vendor performance metrics and KPI reporting Assist with spend analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities Verify invoice accuracy against purchase orders and pricing agreements Support internal and external procurement audits Maintain organized procurement documentation and records Collaborate with Operations and Business Development teams on daily administrative needs Generate procurement and vendor performance reports for management Assist in implementing procurement procedures and process improvements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred 1–3 years of procurement experience required 1–2 years of ISO industry experience preferred Experience in warehousing, logistics, tank operations, or industrial environments preferred Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Basic Spanish knowledge is a plus In exchange for your hard work and dedication, we offer training and an introduction into a growing organization, both in the USA and abroad.
