Certified Surgical Technologist – Cardiovascular

40 hours/week, evening shift. Shift pattern includes two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts. Shifts may occur between 6:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Weekend rotation is distributed equitably among staff, with call duties included.

Locals and first-time travelers are accepted. COVID-19 vaccine is not required; flu vaccine required with medical exemptions only.

5+ years total CST experience

2+ years cardiac & vascular experience

1 year CVOR experience

1 year experience in a Level I Trauma facility

Required certification: BLS

Scrub experience mandatory in General OR, Thoracic, Vascular, and CVOR procedures

Ability to manage aseptic technique, crash cart, and cardiovascular/thoracic instrument reprocessing

Charting system experience with EPIC

Assist in surgical procedures as a scrub technologist

Prepare and manage surgical instruments and equipment

Maintain sterile environment throughout surgical procedures

Document equipment and procedure details accurately

Collaborate with surgical team to ensure optimal patient care

Orientation of 80 hours; compliance paperwork deadline set strictly; Ohio fingerprinting required. Pre-approved time off must be built into contract.
