Sr. Manager, Business Compliance

Job Summary The Sr. Manager, Business Compliance is responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the compliance program to ensure alignment with applicable state federal laws, client contractual agreements, and industry standards. This role oversees audits, compliance initiatives, legal and contractual obligations, vendor compliance management as well as SOC I and II compliance. The position requires collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain the integrity and effectiveness of the compliance framework. Primary Responsibilities Compliance Management Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance management program. Establish an audit framework and update and create compliance policies and procedures. Monitor and report on compliance performance and program health. Audits Facilitate and manage vendor, state, and client audits. Conduct routine compliance risk assessments, business analysis and implement corrective action plans to address identified gaps. Conduct audits of privacy compliance and security on a quarterly basis. Ensure vendors meet audit compliance and performance standards. Legal and Contracts Analyze contracts to ensure adherence to client requirements and regulatory standards. Assist in drafting and negotiating contracts and other legal agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and organizational policies. SOC I and II Compliance Oversee the organization’s SOC I and II compliance program, ensuring alignment with industry standards and client expectations. Develop and implement processes to maintain SOC II certification. Regulatory Oversight Interpret changing regulations, laws, and industry best practices. Provide guidance on compliance risks associated with current projects and develop mitigation strategies. Collaboration and Training Partner with business management and key stakeholders to understand and communicate compliance requirements. Assist in compliance training for internal departments and organizational leadership. Other Duties Respond to state and client inquiries regarding the compliance program and initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals. Required Experience and/or Specialized Knowledge and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, auditing, or operational quality control. Demonstrated ability to interpret and simplify complex legal and regulatory information. Strong understanding of regulations affecting the automotive finance and titling industry preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel). Experience with SOC I and II compliance and related frameworks. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including persuasive writing. Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or similar certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification. Goal-oriented, organized, and effective team player.
