Job Summary:
A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse position is available in Phoenix, Arizona. This opportunity involves providing specialized care in a Level 4 NICU setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The role involves night shifts, with a commitment of 36 or more hours per week.

• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; minimum of 3 years of NICU experience; certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience; experience managing high-risk neonatal patients, including premature infants, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical cases, ECMO, and cooling therapy; familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records system; ability to pass the Dyslexia screening exam prior to acceptance
• Additional Information: Travelers must complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes as required; float responsibilities may include mother-baby and labor care focused on neonatal patients; unit specifics include 71 beds with 17 stepdown beds, private rooms, and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3; high-risk RN resource with charge nurse duties without patient assignments; weekend rotation every third weekend; holidays: 3 of 6 major holidays; scrubs: navy; hospital operates 24/7 pharmacy and neonatal intensivist team; in-house hospitalist or intensivist support available; orientation includes 2-3 days on the unit.
