Job Overview Prairie View A&M University is hiring a full‑time, 9‑month, non‑tenure track Lecturer I in Human Nutrition and Food/Dietetics Internship Program. The position is in the Department of Agriculture, Nutrition and Human Ecology and located in Prairie View, Texas. Responsibilities Teach dietetics courses supporting both Human Nutrition and Food and the Dietetic Internship program. Serve as Director of the Dietetic Internship (DI) Program (50% effort) and: Develop and maintain program policy and procedures. Recruit, advise, evaluate, register, and counsel interns. Ensure program accreditation, including timely submission of fees, reports, and requests for major changes to ACEND. Prepare and submit the ACEND Program Assessment Report of accreditation standards by the specified date. Review yearly pass‑rate results and implement necessary changes. Conduct ongoing curriculum reviews to meet accreditation standards. Coordinate with faculty, preceptors, and other stakeholders. Facilitate continuous program evaluation and student learning outcome assessment. Submit documentation supporting graduate eligibility for the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentialing exam promptly. Monitor on‑site student activities, supervise rotation sites, and manage computer matching for interns. Maintain interns’ records, advising plans, and verification statements. Manage and resolve complaints received from interns or others regarding the program. Required Qualifications Master’s degree (M.S.) in Nutritional Sciences, Clinical Nutrition, or a related field. One to two years of undergraduate teaching experience. Demonstrated proficiency in coordinating a DI program, effective teaching, and clear written and oral communication. Registered Dietitian (RD) or eligibility to be credentialed to practice in Texas within six months of appointment. Background check required for all positions.
