Peer Support Specialist

Peer Support Specialist – Full‑time position in Outpatient Services. This role provides support and education to patients and families as an adjunct to direct clinical services, enhancing the patient’s pathway to recovery. Responsibilities Meet with patients in their homes to complete sessions and collect drug screen samples. Facilitate patient’s readiness for change. Model coping techniques and self‑help strategies. Assist patients in linking to community support and treatment services. Help patients set personal recovery goals and develop recovery care plans. Benefits Challenging and rewarding work environment. Qualifications High school graduate or GED. Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP) or Certified Addiction Peer Recovery Coach (CAPRC I and CAPRC II) required. Valid driver’s license. Personal lived experience of recovery from a mental health condition, substance use or problem gambling, or experience assisting a family member with the same.
