Accountant Positions
Placer County is currently accepting applications for Accountant I and Accountant II. Each level in this job series has different minimum qualifications. To participate in the recruitment at the I level, II level, or both levels, you must complete and submit separate applications and supplemental questionnaires for each recruitment.
The eligible list established from this recruitment may be used to fill permanent or extra-help and open or promotional vacancies in various County departments as they arise.
Experience and Training Required: Accountant - I
Experience: No experience is required.
Training: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
Experience and Training Required: Accountant - II
Experience: Two years of responsible, professional-level accounting and/or financial auditing experience performing duties similar to an Accountant I or an Auditor I with Placer County.
Training: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
This recruitment will be screened on a bi-weekly basis until the final filing date of October 16, 2026.
