About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 12 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Current and valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, NRP/NALS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: Experience scrubbing C-sections and Epic charting Description: Labor delivery, recovery and mother baby nursing role. This position involves working in Labor and Delivery, primarily during night shifts. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Candidates should be familiar with scrubbing for C-sections. Epic experience is preferred. This role requires individuals to have the necessary nursing skills. Certifications in BLS, NRP/NALS, and ACLS are mandatory. A competency in Basic Dysrhythmia will be part of compliance requirements. Candidates should be willing to float within their nursing scope to meet facility needs if necessary. Local candidates are not eligible for this position. Candidates outside of a specified local radius may apply. No pending state licenses will be accepted. Any requests for planned time off should not exceed five days. The candidate should be able to handle a patient ratio of 1:1 during night shifts. This role encompasses various responsibilities in the labor and delivery department, including but not limited to: Administration of blood and blood products. Assisting with vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections. Supporting mothers with breastfeeding and lactation. Implementing and monitoring various medical interventions. Conducting patient education and discharge teaching. Candidates should be committed to teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration. The candidate will need to demonstrate knowledge in managing both mother and newborn care efficiently. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
