Early Childhood Lead Teacher (2026-27)

Bright Water Waldorf School is an independent school serving students Pre-K to 8 th grade with a developmentally appropriate, multidisciplinary, experiential, and academically rigorous education, engaging students’ heads, hands, and hearts. Required Credentials:

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Waldorf teacher certification or willingness to complete

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Commitment and energy in working with elementary aged students
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues
• Commitment to an equitable, anti-racist, and gender-inclusive environment, evaluation of systemic privilege and oppression, and an openness to personal and institutional growth
• Interest in evolving the Waldorf curriculum for the 21st Century

Location: On campus at Bright Water Waldorf School, 1414 S Weller Street, Seattle, WA 98144

Hours : This is a 1.0 FTE position. The hours of the school day are 8 a.m. -3:15 p.m. from Monday to Friday. In addition, teachers attend a weekly college meeting as well as some evening and weekend meetings/events.

Compensation : $51,259 - $93,442 is based on level of education, experience on our salary scale, plus benefits.
