Benesch is a growing, multi-disciplined planning, engineering, and professional services firm. We enhance infrastructure and communities across the country – creating spaces and providing connections in ways that make a difference.

We pride ourselves on being nimble enough to remain responsive to client needs yet large enough to offer exceptional bench strength. As a member of our team, you'll have an opportunity to draw from those resources when you need them and, likewise, contribute your expertise when you have something to share.

At Benesch, we are looking for candidates with varied backgrounds and worldviews. We are committed to offering an inclusive work environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Statistics show that women and underrepresented groups are less likely to apply for a position if they don't meet 100% of the qualifications. If this statement resonates with you, don't be so hard on yourself—apply for the job!

Join Benesch's Wisconsin Division as a Land Surveyor. As part of our Civil Engineering team, you will provide various field data collection and staking activities, prepare survey drawings, and work directly with internal/external clients.

Proficiency in boundary work, specifically with right-of-way plats, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Boundary Plats, and Easement Plats, is highly desired.

This position will have a hybrid work schedule and, when in the office, will work from any of our Wisconsin region locations, including Madison, WI, Milwaukee, WI, or Neenah, WI.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to establish survey requirements and conduct surveys in line with standards and contract specifications.
• Research necessary records, perform calculations, and analyze measurements for property locations and legal descriptions.
• Oversee final plat preparation and provide updates on progress, budget, and technical issues. Generate and review survey-related project correspondence, assist in data compilation, and ensure quality control.
• Communicate field issues to the Project Manager, document out-of-scope work, and participate in contract negotiations.

• PLS certification in the State of Wisconsin
• Associate degree or higher in Survey & Geomatics, Survey Technology, or other related surveying program preferred, HS diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years of experience in drafting plats and boundary calculations.
• Experience processing survey and completing plats in WisDOT environment (Civil3D).
• You thrive working independently while seamlessly collaborating within a diverse project team.
• Effective communication with project leaders and clients is one of your strengths.
• Your attention to detail shines through in maintaining clear and concise project records and files.
