Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner)

Job TitleConduct collaborative care assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.Perform comprehensive assessment of patients to include medical history, physical examinations, and more to form a diagnosis.Order diagnostic or laboratory tests to prescribe medication and initiate emergency care as appropriate.Provide counseling to patients and their families in prevention of illness, maintenance of health, and attainment of physical, mental, and social well-being.Evaluate care delivery strategies to make recommendations to improve quality of care procedures and processes.Serve as a preceptor to graduate students enrolled in nurse practitioner and physician assistant programs, medical students and to newly assigned nurse practitioners.
