Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Rover in Sanford, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic food and beverage location, helping to support a secure environment through visible presence, routine patrols, and attentive communication. This role offers the chance to assist with security-related concerns, interact with employees and visitors, and deliver strong customer service while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, teamwork, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including production-adjacent areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter spaces, noting unusual activity and/or conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, observing visitor activity, and supporting site access control procedures.
• Support security-related operations in a food and beverage location by communicating with site contacts, following post orders, and reporting maintenance, sanitation, and/or operational issues that may affect the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
