Neapco is seeking a results-driven individual to join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer. This position will report to the Plant Engineering Manager and is based at our Driveline facility in Belleville, MI. It is extremely important this team member be aligned with Neapco’s Core Values of Partnership, Passion, Agility, Teamwork, Integrity, and Diversity, along with Neapco’s Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility goals and objectives. Job Description: Manufacturing Engineer

Including but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing and process engineering activities for designated production lines, including support for new product launches, equipment installations, and process validations.
• Evaluate and improve existing processes to increase throughput, reduce scrap, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Source, quote, and install manufacturing equipment, including robotics and automation tools.
• Provide guidance and technical training to junior engineers and technicians.
• Develop and maintain process documentation such as PFMEAs, control plans, standard operating procedures, and validation protocols.
• Conduct detailed root cause analyses for production and quality issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure long-term process stability.

Required Skills

• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and production systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor) and statistical analysis tools (Minitab or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodology, and structured problem-solving approaches (e.g., 8D, DMAIC).
• Ability to balance multiple projects, set priorities, and deliver results under tight timelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data analysis and interpretation to support decision making.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline required.
